Pre-Course Setup & Selection
Day 0Online preparation before the intensive begins.
- Software Check: Verify exocad modules, Guide module, VA module.
- Case Collection: Select 2-3 real cases (1 single, 1 full-arch edentulous, 1 aesthetic).
- Data Acquisition: IOS scans, Face scan, CBCT, Bite registration.
Digital Occlusion & VA
Day 1Goal: Build a functional mindset before touching full-arch wax-up.
- Import upper/lower scans + bite scans into exocad.
- Configure Virtual Articulator (Condylar inclination, Bennett angle).
- Simulate excursions—check working/non-working contacts.
- Identify interferences BEFORE design work.
Smile Design & Waxing
Day 2Goal: Link aesthetics + function → a wax-up ready to print.
- Perform 2D smile design (reference lines, tooth proportions).
- Transfer plan into 3D full-arch wax-up.
- Refine emergence profiles & functional cusp morphology.
Surgical Guides (Essentials)
Day 3Goal: Safe, predictable guided surgery basics.
- Align CBCT with IOS models (troubleshooting misalignments).
- Plan implant placement (Depth, Angulation, A-P spread).
- Design tooth-supported guide (Sleeves, Windows, Supports).
Stackable Guide Systems
Day 4Goal: Complex rehabilitation with bone reduction + stackable systems.
- Define bone reduction level and draw reduction plane.
- Design Bone Reduction Guide.
- Design Foundation (Anchor) Guide on pins.
- Design Implant Guide stacking on Foundation.
Final Prosthetics & Thimbles
Day 5Goal: Integrate all previous workflows into final prosthetics.
- Design custom abutments on multi-units.
- Design Screw-Retained bridge with active VA check.
- Thimble Workflow: Primary framework + secondary individual crowns.
